Exam-day basics.
  • Follow your school’s instructions on ID, equipment and arrival time.
  • Keep time: roughly a minute a question is a useful guide, but check the paper’s actual timing.
  • Flag, move on and return. Do not let one question cost you five.

The week before

  • Confirm the venue, time and what ID you need.
  • Visit the room or test the platform if your school allows it.
  • Do light revision only. Rest matters more now.

On the day

  • Arrive early and bring only what is permitted.
  • Pace yourself: check the clock at set points rather than every question.
  • If you are stuck, make your best choice, flag it and move on.
  • Stay calm if you hear others finish early. It is not a race.

Your checklist

  • Packed ID and essentials
  • Know where the venue is
